17 July 2017
Nearly 10 companies have responded to the Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by state-owned Abu Dhabi General Services (Musanada) for the construction of 306 villas at Al Saad in Al Ain, a source aware of the details told Thomson Reuters Projects.
“The scope of work covers construction of villas, infrastructure work and a mosque and the time frame to complete the work is 546 days,” the source said.
The RFP was issued in 18 June 2017 and closes on 19 July 2017, according to the Musanada website.
The Al Saad Master Plan has been developed by the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (UPC) in consultation with the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority and Al Ain City Municipality. The project is in line with Plan Al Ain 2030, which outlines the development of 13,100 square kilometre region.
According to a December 2015 UPC statement published by state news agency WAM, the Al Saad development is located between two existing residential neighbourhoods in Ramlat Al Saad and includes amenities such as parks, schools, shops, mosques, a clinic and a community centre.
