Iraq drills oil well near Iran's border: Report

Tehran - Iraq's Oil Minister Abbar al-Luaibi said that his country had begun drilling an oil well near Iranian borders, it was reported on Monday.
According to Middle East Monitor, the Iraqi minister said the new oil well is being drilled in Hoveyzeh oil field in Khuzestan Province, southwetern Iran, in vicinity of the Iranian borders. It has a total capacity of one billion barrels.
Iraq’s state-owned oil and gas company “Missan” is to handle the project, the report added.
