Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) has invited expression of interest (EOI) for repairs, rehabilitation and upgrade of runways, taxiways, aprons and service roads in ADAC-owned airports in the UAE.

The contractor will have to carry out the work at Abu Dhabi International Airport, Al Ain International Airport, Al Bateen Executive Airport, Sir Bani Yas Island Airport and Delma Island Airport, as per the invite.

The final submission date is 16 April, 2017.

According to the invite, a separate tender process will follow post the EOI. Tender fee of 5000 dirhams ($1,362) shall be applicable at the tender stage.

Last month, Abdul Majeed Al Khoori, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Abu Dhabi Airports, said a budget of 38 billion dirhams ($10.35 billion) has been allocated for expansion and development of Abu Dhabi's aviation sector.

The Midfield Terminal at Abu Dhabi International Airport is set to open in 2019 and will be able to simultaneously handle 141 aircraft compared to 62 at present, he said.
