14 March 2017
Abu Dhabi government-owned industrial zones developer ZonesCorp on Tuesday said it will issue a tender inviting private investors to own and operate the first phase of Razeen Worker Residential City, located South of Al Wathba in Abu Dhabi.
The development will house 25,000 workers when it becomes operational by end of 2017, the company said in a statement.
The statement quoted Saeed Eisa Al Khyeli, Director General of Zonescorp as saying the tender process for Razeen A will be advertised in local media in due course.
"Our aim is to ensure an open and transparent process of finding reliable partners who will operate the cities according to our internationally recognised standards," he explained.
Zonescorp has so far invested 11 billion dirhams ($3 billion) in developing 28 residential cities that house over 450,000 workers from the industrial sector.
